Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature’s law is wrong it learned to walk without having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping its dreams, it learned to breathe fresh air.
Long live the rose that grew from concrete when no one else ever cared.
Tupac Shakur

Makes me think of the words from Scripture and how often we dismiss the possibilities of greatness & beauty come from the most unlikely of places. What did Nathanael say about Jesus, ‘”Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked.

I am thankful for the people like Philip who have the eyes to see and whose love bids the doubter to “Come and see.”

This particular voice and story has captured my heart and imagination today… (click on those words to hear the story)

Sara is one of many people who are out in the center of God’s kingdom becoming a reality on earth. Not all of there stories are out there for us to see, but they are sharing in the love revolution nonetheless.

I am thankful for Sara’s story and all those who believe roses can find life through cracks in the concrete, and invite us to “come, or go a block or two (some maybe a few miles) and see.”
